General Purpose

Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the buildings, grounds and associated equipment at the facilities.  Assure that equipment repairs are performed accurately and in a timely manner.  Team player with a successful history of working with other internal departments and external vendors.  This individual works with the Facilities Lead Technician, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.

 

Main Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Possess working knowledge to oversee installs, inspections, repairs, and maintains building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and other as required
  • Diagnose facilities related problems and support in repairing the problems
  • Provide support regarding design, installation, and repair to equipment to improve safety, reliability, and proper operations of the facility
  • Provide coordination with third party contractors to assess repairs and problems
  • Manages the schedules and ensures completion of preventative maintenance conducted both internally and through third party contractors
  • Provide physical repairs to the buildings and equipment
  • Respond to work requests and service calls
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls as appropriate
  • Perform Employee and office/cubicle furniture relocations, able to adjust desks, chairs and files and cubicle reconfigurations.
  • Maintain and document service and repairs logs associated with building equipment
  • Participates on emergency response and planning team
  • Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. and carrying: walking or standing for prolonged periods of time: bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, crawling: operating motorized equipment and vehicles. Valid driver’s license required. Training will be provided if certifications not current.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple jobs with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and able to excel and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient with Outlook, basic knowledge with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in facilities
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of facilities maintenance and repairs
  • Extensive operational experience and knowledge of complex facility systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Hands-on experience with Facilities and building equipment

 

 

Additional Information

  • $79,400 - $119,100 annualized salary range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California)
  • Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
