IT Department in Renesas Electronics is seeking a budget controller to lead the management of investments and operational costs involving IT for the sites in Japan and overseas offices.
The company is accelerating its focus on semiconductor solutions that play a central role in AI and IoT technologies such as automated automobile driving, and has made a series of acquisitions in the past few years in Europe and the United States in order to continue winning in the global market. In order to maximize the benefits of these acquisitions and lay the foundation for a leap forward to become a 2 trillion-yen company, we are currently promoting a project to integrate various core processes and systems such as SAP, CRM, SCM, and MDM on a global basis.

You will be involved in IT expense management activities for the entire group companies participating in the system integration and other projects in addition to daily IT cost management activities. You will manage budgets and actuals for multiple global projects, work closely with the main accounting department at the headquarters in Japan, and develope the future IT expense plan and more.
All the tasks mentioned above will require both Japanese and English language skills.
At least 5 years of experience as a budget controller is required.
In the context above, you need to have work experience in a global environment.
You shall have good skills and literacy at using basic MS Office functions (especially, Excel and PowerPoint).
You are required to have experience working in an English-speaking environment and be comfortable using English for meetings, Email, and chat message communication.
You need to be knowledgeable in IT business operation (development, maintenance, and operation) so as to understand the contents of expenses incurred. Note that IT skills such as practical system development skills are not a must.
