Renesas are seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer (Analog & Power) to provide technical field support for major customers in and around Germany.

This individual will be part of the Global Industrial and Robotics vertical sales team and be responsible for driving opportunity discovery and design wins for analog and power products.

This role may be carried out out of Munich, Duesseldorf, or Nabern in Germany.

Job Summary

• Provide technical expertise and support to customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Poland in close collaboration with the Renesas Sales team.
• Develop and support customer designs using Renesas’ analog and power product families - power management (DC/DC & AC/DC), timing, connectivity, analog IC’s, and discrete components (photocouplers, IGBTs, MOSFETs, etc.)
• Provide product promotion and design support including product selection, schematic and PCB design and debugging, resolving support issues, and project development.
• Collaborate with associated Business Unit Marketing and Application Engineering teams to meet individual design-in targets.
• Establish relations with technical decision makers at the customer, present and support the Renesas portfolio.
• Working in an international business environment with regular contacts throughout Europe, Asia and the US.
• Travel to assigned customer sites withing the region.

Your Profile

• Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in analog and power management applications.
• Strong problem-solving capability to interface customer needs & resources with energetic and proactive approaches
• Strategic and commercial thinking to perform and organize efficient design in plan for target accounts; capable of identifying key projects and recommending possible solutions
• Basic knowledge about MCU/MPU systems are not mandatory but useful.
• Self-motivated team player who can take direction, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to balance strong technical skills with solid relationship-building and account management.
• Very good command of German & English language and mobility are key elements required for the job
• Valid and existing residence and work permit for Germany or another EU country is required
