The Role

  • Senior SW System Architect role within the Renesas CABD Business Unit, focusing on developing the core SW architecture supporting the unit’s SoCs, driving innovative and robust solutions to create differentiated connectivity products with best-in-class performance and ease-of-use.
  • Responsible for helping Marketing translate customer and standardization bodies’ requirements into SW architectures with associated documentation, supporting system verification plans, and evangelizing Renesas’ system solutions internally and externally.
  • Perform feasibility studies and competitive analyses and analyze new systems. Contribute to the company’s product portfolio roadmap.
  • Complex wireless SoC multi-core architectures.
  • Responsible for the SW System Architecture definitions and successful deployment of the Business Unit’s main SoC developments ·
  • Collaboration with the HW team.
  • Up to 10% of travel is expected for customer visits and conducting meetings related to job responsibilities
  • Responsible for helping Marketing translate customer and standardization bodies’ requirements into state-of-the-art SW architectures and detailed target specifications ·
  • Driving the development of modular SW that is robust with high ease of use ·
  • Drive the feasibility assessment of new product platforms ·
  • Generate documentation (e.g. Objective Specifications, Verification Plan) ·
  • Scanning of related technologies and market trends; competitive analysis
  • Deliver SW systems and documentation with best-in-class performance in terms of robustness and ease-of-use for the targeted applications ·
  • Quality and on-time delivery of key collateral material including objective specification and system verification plans.
  • Accountable for full functionality of produced SW according to lead customer expectations
  • Knowledge of target markets, competition, and related standards

 

Your Profile

  • Strong technical background (BSc. EE, MSc. EE or similar) ideally in SW development for embedded Systems on Chips with the microcontroller, DSP, RF, and analog mixed-signal content ·
  • Solid understanding of SW design and lifecycle management.
  • Good working experience as a system architect is preferred.
  • System-level know-how of low-power wireless systems and protocols, e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi preferred.
  • Understanding of SoC HW architectures.
  • A high degree of autonomy and strong teamwork abilities.
  • Able to analyze sometimes fuzzy client propositions/wishes of high complexity using best practices, based on internal technical know-how and knowledge of customer’s systems ·
  • Good analytic knowledge, creative, positive thinking, and innovative.
  • Customer-oriented · 
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Able to establish and maintain internal networks amongst peers and designers.
