To further strengthen our Product Line Sensor Signal Conditioning and ASICs we are looking for a C/D grade Global Product Marketing Specialist (f/m/d) for Ovaldo Borghetti’s team (Head of Product Line Sensor Signal Conditioning and ASICs – HPCSG/HASD/SSC and ASICs) to drive the growth in the next Generation Automotive Sensor Products. We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our team with the option to work remotely or embrace a hybrid work arrangement.

Location: Europe (e.g. Germany, Italy) or home office location

 

 Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive business development activities to further expand the product line footprint.
  • Work with the team (Product Managers, Application/System Engineers, Regional organizations, etc.) to deeply understand market requirements (not only the WHAT but the WHY), customer gains and pain points.
  • Transform customer understanding and application requirements into valuable differentiators and offerings (not only product) and build a solid Customer Value Proposition (always thinking about Total Cost of Ownership).
  • Define product roadmap with support of several stakeholders (Product Manager, Application Engineers, System Architects, FAE, Regional organizations etc.).
  • Plan, Create, Manage and Win Design Opportunities and follow closely on the design-in progress and business ramp.
  • Intensively team up and build trusted relationships with regional Sales, FAEs and Application engineer to best support our business
  • Influence profit/loss of the product portfolio
  • Investigate key market trends, understanding Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental and Legal (PESTEL) aspects and related impacts (risks and opportunities) to our business.
  • Develop and regularly review market model to define TAM/SAM/SOM as TOP-DOWN approach and integrate it with a life cycle model based on existing/planned product portfolio (BOTTOM-UP approach). This will be the basis for the revenue plan.
  • Monitor constantly competitors and define benchmarking schemes.
  • Monitor constantly the product portfolio identifying gaps, weaknesses and derive actions.
  • Develop with Product Managers a worldwide pricing strategy and support the quoting process.
  • Represent the Product Line to internal and external partners as well as during exhibitions and customer meetings.
  • Provide portfolio input and market intelligence back to the responsible Product Managers in a regular manner.
  • Support market office activities:
    • Regular update of market-model, life-cycle model, planning.
    • Regular update of product/customer/volumes/price overview to support overall strategy, price strategy and capacity planning (in alignment with key stakeholders).
  • Define MarCom activities and support product launch with appropriate material.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • You are passionate about finding perfect solutions for both Renesas and the customer. Therefore, you use your excellent sense for business needs and chances together with a customer-oriented approach in order to improve our portfolio and market position consistently.
  • You are passionate about technology/IC technologies to develop next generation products and solutions.
  • You are an active customer-oriented team player, an active driver who wants to get things done. You work well under stress, are flexible and want to be employed in a demanding field of work and have fun with the team.
  • You have an entrepreneurial attitude and “leadership as a service” besides “lead by example” mindset.

 

You are best equipped for this role if you have:

 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and Management (MBA is a plus).
  • 8 years plus of experience in the field of product marketing / product management for semiconductors (sensor focused IC is a plus).
  • Proven track record of business growth and successful innovation covering automotive products. Sensor products and solutions are a plus.
  • Application know-how and good product understanding of the Automotive market. Sensor and MEMS based pressure sensor market knowledge is a big plus.
  • Good product level technical interaction with customers.
  • Strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, up to executive management.
  • English business fluent. German language nice to have.
  • Regular domestic and International travelling Worldwide (based on company travel guidelines).
