Renesas is looking for an experienced Senior Application Engineer - Industrial Interface Applications to join our Industrial Sensing Group based out of our Dresden or Bingen in Germany. You will report into the Senior Manager and be part of a dynamic eight person team with excellent scope to develop.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Application support for Industrial Interface products such as IO-Link and AS-Interface.
• Support for development and evaluation of customer hardware and software reference solutions for Renesas Industrial Interface products.
• Support Field Application Engineers and customers worldwide.
• Hardware definition and development of microcontroller-based sensing application.
• Software support of microcontroller-based sensing application.
• Generation of technical support documents (e.g. application notes).
• Sales and customer training.
• Application support at customer site.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Essential:
  • Engineering degree with experience in Industrial Interface Applications.
  • Experience of supporting products such as IO-Link and AS-Interface.
  • Good knowledge in MCU based sensing application.
  • Analog and digital circuitry hardware design/troubleshooting and systems software design.
  • Problem-solving capability to interface customer needs.
  • A team player who is self-motivated, resourceful, proactive and able to work in a collaborative environment with both individual and team decision making.
  • Fluent communication in English language. (German is desireable)
  • Willing to travel.
