Sr Account Manager OEM

Job Purpose and Dimensions: 

  • To be responsible for developing France based OEM business. With sales & technical knowledge of automotive and semiconductor industries.:
  • OEM Account Revenue : >50mils Euro/y with strong focus on development within the next years, Support the OEM Director
  • Responsible for OEM account management / business development, also work closely with Tier1 sales team (revenue management, customer relationship)
  • Communicate clearly and report timely & proper behaviour internal/external


Principal Accountabilities:


Customer Relationship

  • Approach contacts at technical and purchasing department
  • Drive relationship development toward business results
  • Process RFQ´s and lead quotation processes
  • Work as « lobbyist » to ensure that OEM is proposing Renesas products to Tier1


Business Development:

  • Intintiate meetings at OEM for new innovations / potentials
  • Identify and quantify concrete business opportunities
  • Develop and prepare sales strategies&tactics to win and present to OEM Director
  • Prepare and drive commercial&technical presentations/conversations with OEM
  • Cooperate with other departments and regions to meet objectives on global basis


Planning & Reporting:

  • Report on sales progress, against targets
  • Forecast mid term revenue with regards to OEM directed business
  • Develop, execute and review account strategy with management


Key Performance Measures: 

  • D-IN / B-WIN (= project/business follow-up through life cycle , from acquisition to SOP)
  • Negotiation of annual price adjustments (billing within the budget period, multi-year revenue plan)
  • Support D-IN result from Tier1 Sales
  • Support and drive supply security concepts


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Automotive and Semiconductor industries
  • Experience with sales of MCU, SoC, Analog, Power devices, desired
  • Ability to develop an account toward clear set of targets, aligned with Renesas’ strategy, together with the Director
  • Ability to develop detailed action plan, and execute with constant progress checks
  • Highly motivated, proactive, result oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities
  • Communicate clearly and report timely
  • Fluent in French and in English
  • Agile with MS Office
  • With sense of challenge and humor



  • Engineering University Degree - preferably in Electrical Engineering or similar

  • OEM: purchasing and technical departments (working level and management)
  • Internal: OEM and Tier1 Sales, Pricing, Biz operations, Marketing & FAE
