Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Applications Engineer to join our team in the greater Houston area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, design, testing, and troubleshooting of digital multi-phase controller systems. The engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of advanced power solutions for various applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of digital multi-phase controller solutions, ensuring compliance with design specifications and performance standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues related to digital multi-phase controller circuits, components, and systems.
- Schematic & Layout Analysis: Analyze and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and datasheets to identify potential design flaws or optimization opportunities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and observations, and contribute to the documentation of technical specifications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BSEE degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Proven experience in power electronics, preferably with digital multi-phase controller solutions.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice) and PCB design software (e.g., Altium).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Work Environment:
The Field Application Engineer will primarily work in a onsite laboratory setting, collaborating with engineers, customers, and other staff. The role may involve occasional travel for testing and evaluation purposes.
