The Corporate Communications Office team aligns with this policy and has speicalists members based in Japan, U.S., Germany, China, and Singapore, for PR, Internal Communications, SNS and branding. This is aimed at raising the profile of Renesas internationally with campaigns that enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
Key to this effort, Renesas is recruiting a communications specialist to join the team based at our headquarters in Toyosu, Tokyo. The Corporate Communications team at Reneas is responsible for internal and external communications efforts that advance Renesas' purpose of "Making Our Lives Easier." We work to develop compelling communications programs that enhance the company's culture, drive growth, strengthen our reputation and build our brand.
This candidate will report to the Director of Corporate Communications Office and will support the managers upon the requirements and substitue them when needed. He or she will have the opportunity to take part in diversified communication activities to elevate the global awareness and visibility of the Renesas brand.
The ideal candiate will have experience managing communications with external audiences in the tech industry and/or internal communications. He or she must have excellent writing and communication skills both in Japanese and English.
・Co-manage Renesas’ global business PR program
・Project lead for business projects such as M&As
・Build and foster relationships with teams and leadership across Renesas and identify new opportunities and processees to expand our communications impact globally
・Development of compelling written materials, including press releases, contributed content, and Q&A for media inquiries as well as internal communications documents
・Building and maintaining strong relationships with key business & product/technology editors, and industry analysts while driving proactive/reactive media efforts
・Facilitate/coordinate briefings and attend media events
・Promote the Renesas brand and assure consistency in messaging
・Co-manage internal events and measures intended for increasing employee engagement
[Required Skills and Work Experience]
•Minimum of 5+ years of experience working at a company in Japan (Specific PR, coprorate plannining, IR, Finance experience in semiconductor or tech industry highly preferred)
•Native level verbal and written skills in English and Japanese
•Strong and clear communication and presentation skills both in Japanese and English
•Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be passionate, creative and eager to learn
•Ability to deliver in high pressure situations and with short deadlines
•Strong judgement and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urget matters
•Ability to work flexibly with people in different time zones
•Strong partnership capabilities with cross-functional teams
•Experience managing media relationships and a network of media
•Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations, or a similar field preferred
•An enthusiastic, can-do attitude, a problem solver, able to work autonomously, natural leadership characteristics, high energy and sense of urgency while being patient when setbacks occur
•Outgoing, positive person that collaborates well and can handle a complete communications program, from strategic to tactical
•Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment with the ability to influence without formal authority
