Purpose

Accountable for designing, implementing and managing significant security delivery for Renesas on a global basis.

This role will have two major functions. The primary role is to lead and deliver key changes for Renesas’ security posture. We have an ambitious plan to improve global security through common standards and global frameworks. Secondly every member of the security leadership team has an incident response role – as a key player in global security leadership you will cooperate on incidents and investigations with our CSIRT team

You will be technically capable with deep knowledge of security risk frameworks and have a demonstrable experience of delivering against them – such as a Lead Implementor for ISO27001. We work with NIST, ISO as well as CIS and SOC frameworks.

You will have a broad and deep experience gained over at least 10 years in working at the cutting edge of Identity and Access Management, Privileged access management, security architecture, working with complex OT environments.

Specific technologies are not important – but you will have worked at a senior level with some of them and led implementation across a number of fronts.

In terms of qualifications

Essential

• A professional security certification – e.g. CISSP or CISM – this will need to be current
• A degree or Masters Degree in a relevant subject
• At least 10 years in a security leadership role with accountability for delivery and implementation – project examples will be needed
• Accreditation in delivery of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST and SOC)
• Experience of working with complex networks, SOC, and defensive technologies
• Managing cross functional security teams and working with external vendors
• Experience of security incident management and working with security analysts

Highly desirable

• Security architecture qualification
• Project management qualification
• Working with security in an OT environment
• Demonstrable ability to work on multiple high profile projects simultaneously

Really useful

• Travel – this is a role that may involve some international travel so the ability to work visa free in the UK / EU is vital. We have several offices in the UK and Europe and you will need to be able to attend one of these probably a couple of days a week.
• Languages – English is the language of our Information Systems Division – so this should be excellent both written and spoken. Other languages are a real bonus.
