Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits (Americas), you will be a key member of our Global Compensation & Benefit Centre of Expertise, and Human Resources team for the Americas region, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our compensation and benefits strategies and programs for employees across the United States, Canada and Brazil. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our total rewards programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational goals, leading a team of compensation and benefits professionals. This position reports directly to the VP, Global Compensation & Benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Benefits Strategy and Management:

  • Manage the planning, development, and administration of health, wellness, retirement, time-off, and leave of absence programs.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers to optimize offerings and ensure employees receive outstanding support and services.
  • Forecast and manage the benefits budget, billings, and reconciliations in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Support the Retirement Committee (401(k)), documenting decisions and adopting plan changes as required.

  1. Compensation Management:

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of compensation programs, including salary structures, and bonuses, aligned to the overall Company philosophy, collaborating with peers in other regions as needed.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive and attractive to top talent.
  • Oversee the annual salary review process, promotions, and adjustments, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with regulations.

  1. Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate closely with external consultants, brokers, and benefits providers to strategize, plan, and manage benefits programs effectively.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contract negotiations to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation and benefits practices.
  • Monitor and address any changes in legislation that may impact our programs.

  1. Communication and Education:

  • Develop clear, engaging, and impactful communications regarding compensation and benefits programs, utilizing various channels to educate and inform employees.

  1. US immigration and Global Mobility:

    • Lead the team responsible for orchestrating immigration procedures in the United States, encompassing tasks such as visa application processing, and collaborating with immigration service providers.
    • Oversee a workload of inbound and outbound assignments to the Americas region. This work involves close collaboration with the Global Mobility team.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and deliver end-to-end compensation and benefits solutions in alignment with the company’s HR strategy in a timely, accurate and collaborative manner leveraging applicable best practices
  • Passion to lead the team and help develop their capabilities/skills
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and impact of various benefit offerings
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact and influence key stakeholders
  • Experience working with SuccessFactors (HRIS platform), PlanSource, ADP is desired; and general understanding of HRIS functional requirements
  • Working knowledge of legislation and regulations that affect benefits plans, including but not limited to ERISA, IRC, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and federal and state statutes
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or HR-related discipline with 7+ years progressive experience and responsibility leading Compensation and Benefits programs and teams

Compensation:

  • $178,500 - $268,000 salary range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California)
  • Please note that the compensation details listed reflect salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
