Renesas RF division, with a focus on delivering smart products for sub-6 5G basestations, Satellite communication, public safety, microwave backhaul, and military/aerospace applications. We are seeking a higher level of integration, where high-performance analog and mixed-signal blocks play a crucial role in the success of the project.

Requirements

• B.E. 10+ years or M.Tech 8+ years of experience in mixed-signal circuit design in CMOS technologies.
• Hands-on experience in designing data converters (ADCs, DACs), LDO, temperature sensors, etc.
• Fundamental knowledge and experience in designing blocks like op-amps, bandgap references, and biasing circuits from scratch.
• Proven track record of developing new IPs and problem solving in design and characterization.
• Knowledge of custom layout concepts and ability to guide layout designer for performance optimization.
• Excellent understanding of concepts like DC operating point, AC simulations, frequency response, stability, noise, nonlinearity (INL, DNL, THD), and mismatches.
• Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso suite – Schematic, Maestro, ADEXL, Layout XL, and Spectre/AMS simulations.
• Proven track record of taking products from concept to completion – block-level specification derivation, successful tape-outs, bring-up, lab characterization, and product releases.
• Ability to manage to lead a project with a small team of designers and verification engineers.
• Ability and motivation to work in an agile and multi-disciplinary team for SoC development.
• Good communication skills and effective teamwork.

Preferred

• Experience in high-precision ICs and high-voltage (~10V) design is a great plus.
• Working knowledge of digital circuit concepts, peripheral communication standards like SPI, I2C, etc, AMS simulation, and Verilog-based RTL is highly desired.
• Understanding of post-Si qualification procedures like ESD, HTOL, etc is desired.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to take a project from concept to completion. This involves analyzing specifications, deriving block-level specs, proposing innovative architecture to develop differentiating products.
• Training and guiding junior designers to develop new and resilient IPs.
• Holding weekly team meetings to monitor progress and collaborate with all project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the digital design team and develop digital design specification to control AMS blocks.
• Document the design procedure and progress in a periodic manner.
