Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage in overall software architecture from design to implementation, to monitoring, and to testing. This includes conducting ongoing analysis of our architecture and designs, CI/CD practices, implementing automated test suites, monitoring tools and alerting mechanics.
• Collaborate with other engineers within the team and across teams to identify and solve blockers and challenges.
• Participate in code reviews, swarming exercises and paired programming to enable the development of highly performant code.
• Work with Product Manager and Scrum Master to refine epics and estimates, while actively participating in meetings with stakeholders to align expectations on a performant, predictable and repeatable release schedule.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development on Linux or other Unix-style platforms
• 5+ years experience programming in GoLang or C++
• 5+ Experience with CI/CD practices, pipelines, monitoring and alerting tools, and automated test suite frameworks such as Gitlab, cloud devops tools, etc
• 5+ years experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure
• 5+ Experience working with microservices
• 5+ Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience adopting & using Agile development methodologies
• Experience with multi-threaded applications in production environments
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
• Experience with Unix shell scripting (such as Bash)
• Experience working with Enterprise, Security, or Network products.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Notice of Pay Transparency:
The compensation for this position ranges from $148,000 - $196,000/year and may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. Depending on the nature and seniority of the role, a percentage of compensation may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus. Equity and additional benefits will also be awarded.
