The Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Capital Markets & Investor Relations, the Tax Director will be primarily responsible for all tax matters such as and not limited to the global tax provision, financial reporting, indirect tax (both US and international) and other related tax areas. The Tax Director will be responsible for various tax projects like the R&D tax credit study and Sec. 382 study. Additionally, the Tax Director will need to work well with both accounting and FP&A teams to provide tax forecast and modelling for management use.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Ensure execution and compliance for all U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements.
  • Conduct and refresh state and local income nexus studies, updating accordingly to incorporate any changes into overall tax compliance strategy.
  • Foreign tax provision and compliance.
  • Tax audits from all relevant tax jurisdictions, including analysis and response to tax notices.
  • Liaise with external partners/vendors.
  • Perform tax accounting and financial disclosure in compliance with ASC 740, review the calculation of annual tax provision, valuation allowance, and deferred tax account reconciliations.
  • Establish a quarterly provisioning process by collaborating with the FP&A and Accounting teams.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a concentration in accounting or tax or comparable degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience with a focus on corporate tax. With exposures to state and local, international, and foreign taxes preferred.
  • Experience with ERP system (NetSuite) preferred
  • Experience with process improvement across different areas of the function.
  • Proficiency with excel is a must and experience with Google apps preferred.

Pay Transparency. DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation and compensation may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into two tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The salary ranges are listed by geographic tier. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation in addition to stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity.
