Engineering Manager

Funnel is looking for an Engineering Manager to join and lead our friendly engineering teams, all located in Stockholm. Our engineering teams have clear ownership and room to make great decisions and priorities for our product. They need great managers who can provide clarity and support to help them succeed even further. This is where we need you!

What you will do

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting our engineering teams. It is the teams that make architectural and technical decisions, you will enable them by sharing and discussing the vision, context, and information with the teams. This way, you enable everyone to make good decisions and have the best possible impact.

You will collaborate closely with other Engineering Managers, the VP of Engineering, and our CTO. You will also collaborate closely with Heads of Product and Heads of Design - we work together to enable the teams. Your focus will be divided between time with your teams, individuals in 1-1s, collaborating with the engineering leadership team, as well as building relationships with stakeholders and colleagues in other parts of the organization.

• Team Growth - Make sure that your teams are working well. Team health, personal development, and supporting your direct reports, as well as participating in recruitment.
• Culture Building - Maintaining our great culture, and aligning with the broader company values. Together with your colleagues, continuously improve our organization.
  
• Technical Strategy - Contribute to the technical vision and strategy, and support the engineering teams to align and succeed in their initiatives.
• Operational efficiency and performance - Identify and solve inefficiencies and blockers. Enabling and guiding the teams to perform and deliver with pride.

• Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience in agile teams and ways of working (e.g. facilitating workshops, retrospectives, driving iterative product cycles)
• Hands-on experience as a software developer (even if it’s been a while, that’s ok!) with good knowledge of long-term software lifecycle, from idea to production, including operations, incident, and issue management.
• Fluent in English.

Other information
This role is located in Stockholm, and we offer a hybrid work setup. We value increased in-person collaboration, and as such, we work a minimum of three days a week from our offices.

We are not able to sponsor relocation and therefore we will take into consideration only applicants who are located in Sweden, and:
- Hold Swedish citizenship
- Hold EU/EEA citizenship
- Have a valid work permit for working in Sweden
