We combine quantum physics, advanced encryption protocols, Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, high-speed electronics, and state-of-the-art fiber-optic communication to develop industry-leading encryption solutions for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

Role Overview:

As an Operations Manager at QuantLR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), your primary focus will be to establish and oversee our production and logistics for QKD systems. This role demands a dynamic leader who can build effective teams and streamline operations processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee all operational activities including planning, purchasing, New Product Introduction (NPI), warehouse management, and production.
  • Production Leadership: Develop, build and lead a robust production team, instilling a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Foster productive relationships with external subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and seamless operations.
  • Engineering Oversight: Spearhead the NPI process for our QKD systems, ensuring innovation and quality in product development.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Direct the procurement of essential parts and sub-modules, optimizing cost and quality.
  • Logistics Management: Manage all aspects of company imports/exports and customer delivery, ensuring timely and secure distribution.
  • ERP Implementation: Implement and oversee an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline operations and data management.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing small to medium-sized operations teams, preferably in electronics-based companies.

Desired Skills:

  • Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability in building and managing small to mid-sized operations teams and subcontractors.
  • Automation Experience: Practical experience in implementing automated production testing systems.
  • Engineering Acumen: Prior involvement in leading the NPI process for multidisciplinary systems is highly advantageous.
  • Optics Knowledge: Experience in fiber-optics or electro-optics based product companies is a plus.
  • ERP Proficiency: A proven track record in successfully implementing and managing ERP systems.
