Job Summary

As the Head of Data at Sweetch, you will drive the company’s data strategy. You will be managing a team of data scientists and data analysts, building and utilizing machine learning algorithms and incorporating them in our platform. In addition, you will be responsible for creating data insights to shape our product and business strategy. In your role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our data infrastructure, optimize decision-making processes, and contribute to the growth and success of our product.

Responsibilities:

● Data Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's goals, ensuring that data initiatives drive innovation and deliver measurable impact on patient outcomes.

● Team Leadership: Lead a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to maximize team performance.

● Data Analysis and Insights: Mentor your team to analyze complex data sets, generating actionable insights for product development, business strategy, and decision-making.

● Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and integrate data-driven solutions into the products.

● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that data practices adhere to relevant healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and industry best practices for data handling and protection.

● Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in data science and healthcare technology, driving innovation through the application of advanced analytics techniques.

Qualifications

● Education: PhD. or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

● Experience: 7 years of relevant experience in data science or a related role,

with at least 2 years of leadership experience.

● Technical Skills:

● Strong understanding of machine learning techniques.

● Experience with reinforcement learning algorithms.

● Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.

● Experience with data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (AWS is preferred).

● Experience in leveraging and using GenAI capabilities - a plus.

● Leadership Skills:

● Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across functional areas.

● Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare data, regulatory

and privacy requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and industry challenges - a plus.

● Problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, formulate innovative

solutions, and drive them to implementation.

● Strategic Thinking: Capable of translating business goals into data strategies and actionable plans.

● Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
