What You’ll Do
Information security architect capable of identifying InfoSec related issues using standard test methodologies (OS Hardening) and implementing solutions involving Teradata EDW environments to include Identity Management, user provisioning, Single Sign On (SSO), directory services, Encryption, regulatory compliance consulting with experience in SOX, PCI-DSS, GLBA, HIPPA, EC-Directive, privacy, IT audit - COBIT, risk management, risk assessments, and Data Center security operations management.
Requires the ability (skills) and desire to “Play both Offense (looking for Vulnerabilities) AND Defense (doing the actual hands-on work implementation to close the vulnerabilities) to include Linux OS, Hardening, Enabling encryption solutions and SSO
Core duties include:
- Combining security, networking, and IT Operations expertise to solve business problems
- Information security requirements analysis
- Compliance with legal, regulatory, and cultural data privacy requirements
- Technical and business writing
- Ability to effectively present business and technical presentations
- Collaborating with security architects, engineers, and operations staff to implement remediations
- Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk management, risk mitigation
- Advising application development teams on security design concepts
- Security related training
- Analytical interviewing (to ensure that the solutions meet the customer’s requirements)
- Presentation development and delivery
- Technical, organization and process analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices
- Ability to follow procedures, troubleshoot, and update documentation as needed
Who You’ll Work With
This role reports to the Director, Consulting Leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other science or Business from an accredited institution preferred with relevant work experience.
- Information security consulting experience (3+ years preferred)
- Security architecture design experience
- Operating System, Network and Security Device Administration experience (required)
- Data Center operations management
- Linux Certification
- Security + Certification
- Network Certification
What You’ll Bring
- Desired certifications: CISSP, SSCP, CISA, CISM, CCIE, CPP, CBCP, MSCE: Security, GIAC (G7799, GSNA, GSLC, GCSC, GFSP, GEIT), CHP, ICCP
- Multicultural, multiple industry, international work experience (preferred)
- Systems integration, application development or programming experience (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Regulatory Compliance experience with Sarbanes Oxley, HIPPA, GLBA, COBIT, PCI-DSS, IRS-1075, ITAR, AML, Patriot Act, Safe Harbor, EC-Directive, and others
- Drafting / Writing Security Policy exceptions as identified
- Perform Risk Assessments
- Perform Penetration testing / ethical hacking experience
- Advising software and application development teams on data security
- Ability to configure:
- Desktop/Network Operating Systems [e.g., UNIX (Linux), MS Windows (Server and Desktop)]
- Connectors (e.g., ODBC, .NET)
- Security / Vulnerability Scanners
- Security Infrastructure Devices: Firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, Authentication
- LAN/WAN Communication Technology
- Network Protocols and Port Assignments
- IT Management Systems
- Network Analysis Tools (Wireshark or other protocol analyzers)
- Networked Applications: Email, Terminal Emulation, Groupware, Web Apps
- Wireless security
- Detailed knowledge of ISO2700x, and other industry standards
Consulting Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
- Leading complex information security engagements
- Effective listening
- Mentoring InfoSec engineers and technicians

- Technical oversight on concurrent projects

Pay Rate: $117,000.00 - $146,000.00 - $175,000.00 Annually
