Event & Marcom Coordinator

Description

International freight didn’t sound important until suddenly it was impossible to get toilet paper at supermarkets in 2020, right? Exactly. Global freight matters. Look around. Everything you wear, eat, or use comes from somewhere, and freight makes it happen.

With $19 trillion of goods shipped annually, you’d think global supply chains are a smoothly ticking Swiss watch. Think again. It’s still mostly offline, arcane, and incredibly complex.

Which is where Freightos comes in. We make global trade frictionless, building the world’s largest global freight booking and payment platform, connecting hundreds of airlines, trucking companies, and ocean liners with over 5,000 global freight companies and over ten thousand importers. We’re the leading global freight booking platform, regularly appearing in top-tier media, and although we’re a global NASDAQ-traded company, we maintain a culture of creativity, not rigid formality.

Our corporate marketing team drives brand visibility, internal communications, and external engagement across multiple channels. And that’s where you come in. The Event and Marcom Coordinator, aka you, will be the mastermind behind our event and tradeshow success. From planning to execution, you’ll ensure every detail is flawless. Whether it’s working with sales to prioritize event participation, securing speaking opportunities, or ensuring our booth shines, you’ll make sure Freightos stands out.

You’ll help create pre-event buzz on social media, get meetings booked, and align the team with the event’s core messaging. Post-event, you’ll work with sales to nurture leads and ensure no opportunity is missed. You’ll drive to make sure you know what business result we’re trying to achieve and then bring the pieces together to make sure we do.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Event Management: Plan, execute, and manage the entire lifecycle of our events and trade shows. From gathering input from the commercial side of the business to securing prime locations, you’ll ensure everything runs like clockwork.
  • Strategic Prioritization: Work with the sales team to identify and prioritize events based on budget and strategic goals. You’ll be the gatekeeper of our event participation, ensuring we make smart, impactful choices.
  • Brand Representation: Ensure Freightos shines at every event. Whether it’s a speaking opportunity, sponsorship, press coverage, or booth presence, you’ll make sure we’re seen and heard, spanning proactive identification and outreach for opportunities and more.
  • Event Support and Storytelling: Draft engaging social media messages and event blog posts to promote our brand before, during, and after events. You’ll make sure the world knows Freightos is there, leveraging your storytelling skills, native English, and creativity to craft compelling content.
  • Marketing Material Production: Support the entire marketing team with the production of any marketing material—whether it’s a brochure, landing page, swag, or whatever else we dream up.
  • Internal Communication and Employer Branding: Collaborate closely with HR to support internal communication and employer brand activities. Ensure our brand identity is consistently maintained internally within the team, fostering a strong and cohesive company culture.
  • Attention to Detail: No detail is too small. From logistics to messaging, you’ll ensure everything is perfectly executed.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Up to 3 years of experience in a marketing role with a strong emphasis on event management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Pitch-perfect, native English is a must.
  • Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of events, from planning to execution.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an eagle eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Creative storytelling ability, with the ability to craft engaging social media messages and even blog posts (that would be a great plus!)
  • Experience supporting internal communications and employer branding, with a knack for maintaining brand identity within a team.
  • High Potential: We’re looking for people with potential—those who know social media, are super creative, and believe the sky is the limit. You should be able to execute with excellence, even on very short notice.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to work under pressure. You don’t just meet deadlines, you beat them.
  • High interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
